Busy weekend in Geneva, where after watching the departure of the 74th Bol d’Or I booked myself for a hot air balloon flight. The window of opportunity was rather small but luckily for me, I was able to board the flight on a superb Sunday evening.
Hot air ballooning is for nothing an individual sport as we were not less than 4 persons to unpack the 1500 square meters balloon’s envelop from its bag. Then with the help of a big fan and 2 huge Propan burners, the pilot inflated the balloon in few minutes. We climbed into the balloon’s basket, the pilot increased the temperature of the 3700 m3 of air captured in the balloon and we smoothly lifted off.
No special comment about the flight as hopefully the photos tell the story better than myself 
We took off from Vessy sport center, climbed up to 4000 feet (1200 m) and softly landed, without some last minute help, 80 minutes later, in font of some buildings in Veyrier. No need to say that our landing did not stay un-noticed and we got the help of at least 20 kids to deflate and pack the balloon back to his trailer.
